It is impossible to tackle violence-related problems in relationships without involving men. Perpetrators of violence who experienced violence in childhood themselves and pass it on in their own relationships as adults make up nearly 80% of all perpetrators. This produces a vicious circle of violence passed down through generations. Before the Let’s Give (Wo)Men a Chance programme, there were hardly any places men could go to solve their problems. Now, mainly thanks to cooperation with Norwegian partners, men are offered help directly in several Czech towns. Experienced therapists teach them anger management and how to work with their negative experience and emotions so that families have a chance to live a life without violence. Journalists had an opportunity to test this anger management methodology for themselves as well. The League of Open Men organised a special one-day work shop for them, and responses from journalists appeared in several media outlets.
