This project provided care to children aged two to six in a mini-kindergarten (and nursery) in Valašské Meziříčí. We helped five families with children with special educational needs or disabilities. Considering their difficult financial situation,these parents needed to return to the labour marketafter parental leave.
Objectives and planned outputs of the project have been fulfilled. The kindergarten was open daily from 6am to 4pm. The daily programme and activities were adapted to the individual needs and ages of the children and a qualified nurse focused on developing the skills of these children with special educational needs.
We have created an environment where the children feel comfortable and are incorporated into a group of children without being further disadvantaged. The well-being and sense of security of our small clients manifested itself in their families as well, which helped to improve the balance between work life, private life, and family life.
